World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.

For instance an item with the upgrade template that ends in % will gain 3damage to attack each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the current level of the item. The cost increases as the level of the item rises.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armor and trinkets to provide them with a boost in stats or an extra effect. These can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors trading or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

upgrade item components can be inserted into any equipment with a slot for them; the item must be at least upgraded to the blue level to allow a component to be inserted. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used one time; they can't be used multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are a kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascending equipment, as in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade could include a suffix or prefix, modifying the name of the equipment to the upgrade (for instancefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, which lets players create stronger versions with fewer upgrade crystals than they require to achieve the same level using normal methods.

A boost upgrade can modify the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. They can also be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or by purchasing them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.

Each upgrade increases the probability that a better-quality version of the item will be available at the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to keep improving their equipment, even if they're unsure of the extent to which it will increase after a future reset.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process can be expensive, and there is a significant chance that the item could become obsolete or even break when it fails; a unsuccessful upgrade could ruin Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item level upgrade. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the risk of failure. Some upgrades also give an additional bonus when they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade elements that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, which includes any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as you can to level 15.

In the endgame you'll find that the Best item upgrade way to improve your equipment is to use Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and provide significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes much faster.

Glyphs, the sole upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions are the most popular. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and re-placed with the aid of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

When you have the desired Glyphs You will need to place them on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus which will boost the stats of a particular set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. Based on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

The use of the Glyph will boost all the nodes connected to it, so it is recommended to position your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximize the impact. For instance an Druid should try to position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes, but also consider placing them near critical damage nodes as well.

Leveling

The upgrade system of items allows players to boost the effectiveness of certain items by introducing upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with a level that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items are able to be leveled up to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level requires a different number of components, and the upgrade costs increase as the item upgrade gets leveled up.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab in the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used to upgrading an item. Once enough points are earned, you will be able to claim the upgrade and get its extra bonuses.

When an item upgrader mod is upgraded by a player to a higher level, the original item is replaced by a new item of the same kind. The same armor will be upgraded to a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item will also have its own set bonus. This could be a problem because it can cause the item to become more expensive if you do not need it.

The upgrades to items can be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens to do this. The item will be replaced by an entirely new item that is based on a level 1 base and totally different bonuses. This can be useful however it shouldn't be done often as it can be a waste of resources.

Certain upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, since it grants buffs when the player continuously enters or leaves the water. The item can be upgraded several times by increasing the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is very important in PvP. A well-rolled version could be worth 50 times the value of the non-upgraded counterpart.

Requirements

The upgrade of items allows players to upgrade the level of their equippable equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets above ilvl 385--by offering the appropriate currency and items to an Item Upgrader [Fkwiki.Win] NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense and weapon upgrades items boost their base damage as well as their strength and dexterity.

Each item can be upgraded a maximum of five times, with the exception of hero gear that can be upgraded up to eight times. Each time you upgrade an object, it has a chance of failing. The failure rate increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures can result in the item returning to its original state and the player having to pay for more materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an item is not upgraded, the experience bar in its growth bar will be reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it has gained like crit chance damage to attack, additional effects (such as increased heal over time or reloading speed). However, the player can still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded gains a crit chance increase, the increase will be applied prior to any damage to attack increases. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the item definition and the value is calculated every time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating as well as the number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a standard equipment item may have five upgrades, each costing 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items have lower costs per upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading than standard gear--for instance, they may require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. However, players must visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko in Central Flarine. Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each upgrade will require the use of different upgrade ingredients.
